Since its founding in 1987, ISU has graduated more than 2900 students from 100 countries. Together with hundreds of ISU faculty and lecturers from around the world, ISU alumni comprise an extremely effective network of space professionals and leaders that actively facilitates individual career growth, professional activities and international space cooperation.
The ISU Master of Science (M.Sc.) programs are
designed for students looking for the competitive edge that will
help them obtain a career in the space sector, professionals
interested in making a career move into or within the space sector,
and researchers wishing to broaden their knowledge or make the move
from academic life into the space industry.
For this ISU offers two post-graduate Master of Science (M. Sc.)
degrees:
- M.Sc. in Space Studies (MSS)
- M.Sc. in Space Management (MSM)
Both MSc programs are divided into 5 modules and share the same basic structure; this allows students to begin with the same core curriculum before entering one of two specialized streams. The MSS stream focuses on scientific and technical aspects while the MSM focuses on policy and management aspects. However, interdisciplinary interaction between the two classes is maintained through common team activities and assignments.

The SSP's interdisciplinary curriculum emphasizes international cooperation and provides students with varied perspectives on the world’s space activities—perspectives normally reserved for those with years of diverse professional experience. The program includes a wide variety of activities, including lectures by renowned experts, hands-on activities and projects, team work exercises and professional visits, and each year it evolves to better meet the needs of its students and their employers.
Throughout the course, students are encouraged to contribute their own ideas, knowledge and enthusiasm, while—in accordance with ISU's philosophy—being open to and learning from others' unique perspectives.
Intended to provide in depth understanding of business in the
context of the special challenges of the space sector and similar
fields, this MBA will attract students from broad cross-section of
the specialties on which successful space missions and activities
depend. Thus, although the first module will provide material on
specific business topics, it is also designed to provide technical
knowledge to allow participants with nontechnical backgrounds (e.g.,
law, economics, social sciences) to follow the entire program
successfully.
Over the years ISU has been very successful in helping students with
technical as well as non-technical backgrounds to understand
critical aspects of business, law, and social sciences.

The Executive Space Course examines current space-related
activities and the technology, science, business and policies upon
which each phase of the program or mission is based.
Through an international perspective, the course provides
participants with an understanding of the differences, as well as
the common approaches found in space strategy across the globe. The
course presents fundamental engineering and technical concepts in a
clear, straight-forward manner allowing participants to develop
their knowledge of space-related terminology and activities.
